Client: National Law School of India University (NLS)
One of the leading law universities in India, NLS came into existence through a Notification under the National Law School of India University Act (Karnataka Act 22 of 1986). NLS is considered a Centre of Excellence for legal education and research in India. In addition to regular academics and a distance education programme in various streams, NLS has a Legal Services Clinic and a Centre for Women and the Law providing legal aid and advice to disadvantaged women and others and mediation and negotiation for settlement of disputes. Faculty and students of the Law School help in creating legal awareness mainly among women and girls through classes in colleges and schools in and around the city of Bangalore. Web-based learning application on child sexual abuse

Client: Tulir- Centre for the Prevention & Healing of Child Sexual Abuse (CPHCSA)
'Tulir’ in Tamil language means first tender leaves of a plant. Tulir, a CSO located in Chennai, works against child sexual abuse. It believes a society's integrity is based on the acceptance of prevalent sexual abuse of children and proactive steps taken to respond in a timely and appropriate way ensuring that children benefit from its caring and foresight, and truly can exercise their right to feel safe all the time.
Tulir decided to develop a web-based learning application through various tools to create awareness and sensitise and educate people on the existence and prevalence of sexual abuse of children. Mahiti was contracted to deliver this task.
Mahiti supported Tulir staff in the design and development of the course content - text, print and audio text (narration) in English. The course included text content, videos and podcasts. Tulir staff was also helped by Mahiti to develop the content design. Know More
Empowering entrepreneurs and creating 25 million jobs by 2020

Founded in 2000 by Dr. Romesh Wadhwani, the Foundation’s primary mission is economic acceleration in emerging economies. With large-scale education-led initiatives driving skill development and job creation, the Foundation has launched five high impact education, training and research focused initiatives in India that will lead to creation and fulfillment of 25 million jobs by 2020. To leverage entrepreneurship as a catalyst for job creation, Wadhwani Foundation established the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) in 2003. NEN has built a strong network with 600 colleges, 1000+ mentors and 3200 faculty in India to inspire, educate and support emerging entrepreneurs.
Mahiti has been the Foundation’s Information Technology Partner engaged in co-creation of tools and conducting training & end-user workshops.
Key Projects where Mahiti is engaged are (i) SmartE - NEN Contest Management Platform and (ii) NEN mConnect, a platform to connect with mentors and experts for business growth.
SmartE is a nationwide challenge for aspiring entrepreneurs. The challenge enables experiential learning into all aspects of venture creation through live projects from corporates and start-ups. Each project is offered as a competition under the SmartE banner. In mConnect, members can learn, network, transact & attend NEN events that align with their growth needs.
