Summary: There is no better way to communicate than the virtual mode of communication.
I started working with Mahiti in November 2009. The most interesting part of my journey was exploring how communications and technology work hand-in-hand for streamlining internal and external communications of NGOs & civil society organisations. In the past, Mahiti focussed on the role of technology to support social change. Discovering the role of communications with technology for NGOs was undoubtedly the most exciting bit. If I had to pick up one, this project was the most interesting assignment in ...read more

The key to any organisation building a large support base, is its database! A lot of organisations manage their donors without realising that they are essentially creating their own database - a folder of cards, a phone book and the favourite... the excel sheet! But the increasing ...read more

Summary: Technology gives immense scope for creativity and innovation to social initiatives.
While working for a development organisation called Samuha in college, the idea of Mahiti, providing technology for NGOs, was born. Samuha incubated Mahiti and we moved on to becoming an independent social enterprise in 2003. I have always believed that technology gives immense scope for creativity and innovation to social initiatives. We started Mahiti with the larger goal of making technology tools and applications affordable and accessible for social initiatives. In my opinion, I feel that ...read more
